Chain of custody

SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY PRODUCTS SA (SFP) ORGANIZES THE CHAIN OF CUSTODY OF FOREST PRODUCTS IT PUTS TO MARKET. A "chain of custody" certificate allow to follow the labelled materials throughout the production process, from the forest to your workshop. The "chain of custody" certificate gives SFP the ability to follow and label its products, enabling customers and consumers to identify and choose products coming from responsible sources. It is an approach seeking to take concrete action for good forest management on a global scale. The idea is to protect the forests by giving them value. As a commercial approach, it is also sought to create a community with customers and suppliers engaged in a similar vision. It is also about being an actor in the general improvement of the wood industry. For the different stakeholders (financial partners, end-users, administrations, NGOs, training centers, scientists, etc.), the certification of the SFP control chain brings reinforced credibility. This is also in line with the major schemes set up in the USA (Lacey Act), Europe (EUTR), Australia (Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Bill) and Japan (Japan's Goho Wood system). This certification contributes to the good reputation of SFP and enables us to offer product ranges which are in line with current trends in sustainable development and possibly in fair trade. In particular, it makes it possible to meet the most demanding environmental and social specifications in the framework of private or public tenders.
